a forgivable offense though:
If i was king of the world.
it is so common now. and so sad. but generally forgivable if that person agrees to try using the correct form.

post your grievances so we can all grieve together

so you train yourself to talk properly. it really isn't so hard. some people use incorrect grammar purposely so they can be like their ghetto brothers. is it still that much of a stigma to sound educated? GAH

i understand but if one has moved out of the neighborhood or ghetto and is educated, when they return or see the people from their ghetto days, they decide to assimilate to common way of speaking of the group. It all comes down to not being comfortable with yourself or wanting to try to fit in so that those friendships will not be lost and one will not be judged. I hope my grammer is OK

a person who does that has must have a really weak personality to cave into peer pressure like that. how are you possibly going to help your community advance if you're going to assimilate into something primitive? besides friends should never ostracize you because of the opportunities you have had, as long as you have never flaunted them. just using proper grammar is not flaunting.

My bigger grievance is people using "good" as an adverb! It drives me absolutely bonkers! I always thought it was just an American thing but I hear it here in the UK a lot! Also, saying "people which" rather than "people who".
